Recognizing Excellence: Outstanding accomplishments in the safety and health profession are recognized through a variety of awards programs. The highest honor, ASSE Fellowship, honors individuals with broad, significant, long-time contributions to the profession and the Society. Other awards include the Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year Award, Johnson and Higgins Scrivener Editorial Award, and Veterans of Safety Professional Paper Awards. Student awards include the John E. Anderson Safety Student of the Year Award, Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA) Scholarships, Crawford and Company Student Section Award and Marsh and McLennan Student Paper Awards. ASSE also sponsors the Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Awards, the Chapter Achievement Program and Long Service Recognition.
