FUTURE PRESENTATIONS SLATED


a). January 11th - James Johnson with D2000 - "Rescue Awareness"

b). February 8th - Dave Parsons, Consultant

c). March 8th - dale Knight, Sr. Loss control consultant with SAIF Corp. - "Leading Edge Safety"

d). April 12th - GOSH Conference Roundtable Discussion "What did you Learn" Also will brainstorm the results of the recent "Phone Survey".

e). Still need topics and speakers for future months. Previously suggested topics; September 2006 Doug Perry, Emergency Preparedness Eugene Fire Marshals office. Tsunami & Hurricanes with Paul West. Gary Hyatt with Northwest Natural Gas, "Natural Gas Safety", "Incident rates, what they are and how to use them.



OLD BUSINESS



a). Steve Bridges will update web site& post link fee rate schedule & send email to those most likely prospects.

b). Mary Lou Wilson will compose an open letter to the Cascade members for inclusion on the web site.

c). Completed or not officers need to complete their portions of the Membership Phone Survey and mail them to Elizabeth Bartleson at 1025 54th St., Springfield, OR 97478

OFFICERS REPORTS

 

a). President: ASSE Kids Safety Poster Contest Guidelines were passed out to Officers

b). Vice President: Present - Will furnish Profile and Membership Open letter for web posting.

c).Treasurer: Gave report current balance is $22,716.41. Needs non-profit certification for records.

d). Member At Large: Present -no report

e). Secretary: Present- updated web site included posting dates for job & resume posting as suggested by Thomas Price.

f). Government Affairs: Not Present

g). Membership Chair: Asked that all surveys be mailed to her even if not finished for summary.

h). Conference Committee Chair: During the General Meeting asked for Conference Volunteers. Meetings will begin in April shortly after the GOSH conference. Said the Cascade Environmental, Health and Safety conference is scheduled for the 3/18-20/08. Cheryl Lein is confirming these dates with the LCC Meeting and Learning Center.

NEW BUSINESS


a). Gretchen moved that there be a brainstorming session for future program speakers tentatively set for THurs 1/4/07 at Monaco Coach meeting room. A later email was sent to all indicating a conflict with a need to reschedule. A date will be set later.

b). ROC Pacific Rim will present a One Day PDC on the Big Island on 4/16/07 then fly to OWAHU for 4/17-18/07 for ROC meeting.

GENERAL MEETING


a). Stephen Nichols gave an engaging and informative presentation with an "Overview of 4-20-06 LCPW Fatality Response Process, Investigation Process, OSHA Citation, New Policies & Lessons Learned."

ACTION ITEMS


a). We need topics and speakers for future meetings.

b). Be sure to greet and meet new attendees at the general meetings

 

NEXT MEETING


a). The next General Meeting will be Round Table Discussion of what attendees found most useful at the recent GOSH Conference in Portland. It will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at The Sizzler Restaurant off Gateway Blvd. at 1010 Postal Way, Springfield, Oregon.

b). Executive meeting at 10:30am. General Meeting at 11:30am.

c). Bring a Friend or Associate! Free Lunch for first time guests!
