d). June 14th - Roundtable Group Hot Topics discussion.

1). Still need topics and speakers for future months. Previously suggested topics:

(a) . Doug Perry, Emergency Preparedness Eugene Fire Marshals office.

(b). Gary Hyatt with Northwest Natural Gas, "Natural Gas Safety", "Incident rates, what they are and how to use them.

(c). Dale Knight, Sr. Loss Control Consultant with SAIF Corp. - "Leading Edge Safety".

a). Steve Bridges will update web site and post link fee rate schedule and send email to those most likely prospects. i). prospects -

b). Sharon Pleu need the Non-Profit status certification for Treasurer responsibilities.

c). Steve Bridges needs the most current By-Laws for posting on the web site. (Mary Lou has these)

d). ROC Pacific Rim will present a One Day PDC on the Big Island on 4/16/07 then fly to OWAHU for 4/17-18/07 for ROC meeting. (Mary Lou Wilson will be attending.)

e). The brainstorming session at Monaco Coach on 2/26/07 was very successful. Mary Lou will be sending out a summary of the meeting to the CCET.

f). Results of the Phone Survey Summary compiled by Elizabeth Bartleson was to be emailed as an attachment to the minutes last month.

a). President: Doug will be attending the Douglas County Safety Ass. meeting on Fri. 2/16/07.

b). Vice President: Chapter did a great job brainstorming at recent meeting.

c).Treasurer: Still needs the Non-Profit status Certification. Karen Blythe mentioned they have this form at the ASSE national office. ASSE finances , committee discussed managing CD's and conference funds, Sharon to get CD interest rates and maturity dates.

d). Member At Large: Not Present

e). Secretary: Not Present

f). Government Affairs: Not Present

g). Membership Chair: Will try to create a packet of membership materials for Doug to take to Roseburg ASSE.

h). Conference Committee Chair: The LCC conference center rates have increased considerably since the 2006 conference. Steve Nichols is gong to get a quote from Valley River Inn.

 

a). Doug Caven, Steve Bridges, Gretchen Brannon, and Paul West are planning to attend the Douglas county Safety Managers Association in Roseburg on Friday, 2/16/07.

b). The annual legislative session ASSE capital Coffee Break is scheduled and confirmed by Duane grange for March 2, 2007 from 10:00am until 4:00pm An email was sent to membership and guests for input and support for this important activity. Duane is considering making changes to the format or canceling the event. Possible changes include a tour of OSHA, meeting legislators rather than 'coffee break' format.

c). Dave Bogart volunteered for the Member At Large position. An election will be held during Feb. 8. 2007 General meeting. Doug Caven spoke to Dave about using his " SES Management System Elements" for chapter meetings starting with September 2007 BBQ.

a). Election held, Dave Bogart elected to position of Member At Large by the membership.

b). Karen Blythe of the Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program gave an engaging and informative "Preventing Theft and vandalism" presentation.

a). We need topics and speakers for future meetings.

b). Be sure to greet and meet new attendees at the general meetings

a). The next General Meeting will be Round Table Discussion of what attendees found most useful at the recent GOSH Conference in Portland. It will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at The Sizzler Restaurant off Gateway Blvd. at 1010 Postal Way, Springfield, Oregon.

b). Executive meeting at 10:30am. General Meeting at 11:30am.
