a). Still need topics and speakers for future months.
b). April 12th - GOSH Conference Roundtable Discussion "What did you learn" "What presentations would you recommend for the Cascade Occupational Environmental, Health and Safety Conference slated for March 18-20, 2008
c). May 10th OPEN
d). June 14th - Roundtable Group Hot Topics discussion.
Previously suggested topics:
(1) Doug Perry, Emergency Preparedness Eugene Fire Marshals office.
(2) Gary Hyatt with Northwest Natural Gas, "Natural Gas Safety", "Incident rates, what they are and how to use them.
(3) Dale Knight, Sr. Loss Control Consultant with SAIF Corp. - "Leading Edge Safety"

OLD BUSINESS |
a). Steve Bridges will update web site and post link fee rate schedule and send email to those most likely prospects. - This has been tabled until September 2007
b). Sharon Pleu needs the Non-Profit status certification for Treasurer responsibilities.
c). Steve Bridges needs the most current By-Laws for posting on the web site (Mary Lou has these)
d). ROC Pacific Rim will present a One Day PDC on the Bi Island on 4/16/07 then fly to OWAHU for 4/17-18/07 for ROC meeting. (Mary Lou Wilson will be attending.)
e). The Brainstorming session at Monaco coach on 2/26/07 was very successful. Mary Lou will be sending out a summary of the meeting to the CCET.

OFFICERS REPORTS |
a). President: Officer nominations meeting will be held directly after the General Meeting.
b). Vice President: Mary Lou made it clear that she wants Duane Grange with Select Temp to be her Vice President and she wants the Executive Team to continue to meet through the summer July & August to maintain the momentum and prepare for the upcoming years agenda.
c).Treasurer: Current Balance is $22,873.29
d). Member At Large: Present
e). Secretary: Updated web site events and job postings.
f). Government Affairs: Paul West reported that he would have to vacate this position due to work.
g). Membership Chair: Volunteered to become Secretary for next year.
h). Conference Committee Chair: The LCC conference center rates have increased considerably, although a decision needs to be made soon in order to hold the dates that have been selected. Gretchen Brannon will check with VRC to get a bid proposal and report back to Steve Nichols ASAP!

NEW BUSINESS |
a). Steve Bridges emailed the updated By-Laws e-file to Mary Lou for Chris Shorts confirmation, before having them posted on the web site.
b). The annual legislative session ASSE Capital Coffee Break was a success. MaryLou Wilson, Gretchen Brannon and Steve Bridges attended along with columbia Willamette Chapter members Bruce Poinsette, Leigh Freeman, Bill White and Clark Vermillion.
c). Dave Bogart volunteered to take over the web site and newsletter. Steve Bridges will provide the passwords and help with the transfer.
d). The officer nominating committee met directly after the General Meeting as nominees will be announced at the April 12th general meeting.
e). A membership promotion letter will be drafted and presented for mailing to local businesses's, SAIF, OR-OSHA and Liberty Insurance.
f). All are encouraged to pass out invitations to associates for the General Meeting each month.
g). Officers and members are encouraged to bring door prizes for the General Meeting.
h). Starting in September 2007, the monthly General Meeting will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month with the Officers Meeting held directly afterward at the Sizzler Restaurant.
i). Dave Bogart agreed to check on legislation: Medical Marijuana, Power Crane Resource, Silica and a Hexa Chromium.
j). Dave Parson was instrumental in helping craft the National DOT Seat Belt Use Awareness week.

GENERAL MEETING |
a). David Parson a Consultant with Associated General Contractors of Oregon gave an engaging and informative "Job Site Risk Management" presentation.
b). David Parsons announced that NAOSH week was coming up 5/6-12/07. This is important to get on board to promote safety awareness throughout companies and the community. Here's a link to ASSE National http://www.asse.org/newsroom/naosh07/ it has several suggestions that can be read or downloaded to help promote this week.
c). Chris Short indicated there was some government encouragement for Small Businesses and contractors with 11 or more employees to have Weekly Employee or Crew Safety Meetings. Here's a link for more information:

NEXT MEETING |
a). The next General Meeting will be Round Table Discussion of what attendees found most useful at the recent GOSH Conference in Portland. It will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at The Sizzler Restaurant off Gateway Blvd. at 1010 Postal Way, Springfield, Oregon.
b). Executive meeting at 10:30am. General Meeting at 11:30am.
c). Bring a Friend or Associate! Free Lunch for first time guests!
